The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) and Glasgow City Marketing Bureau (GCMB) have joined forces to showcase what the Scottish city has to offer international companies planning meetings and events.
Individuals from the Glasgow venue and the GCMB have travelled to Barcelona where they will highlight the city's offerings at this year's Exhibition for the Incentive Business Travel and Meetings (EIBTM).
It is hoped that the partnership will help attract major global events and conference business to Glasgow.
Scott Taylor, chief executive of GCMB, said: "As a destination, it's important to get things right and our success comes from working together with our partners in the city to forge a powerful alliance, and one in which the SECC plays a major role."
Last month, the SECC announced that a number of medical conferences are to be held at the Scottish venue next year.
The British Oncology Pharmacy Association and the British Society of Interventional Radiology are among the organisations which will host events at the SECC.
