Happy World Animal Day from Unique Venues of London

Unique Venues of London (UVL) is wishing everyone a Happy World Animal Day for 4 October 2010 with a series of special offers from its animal-friendly venues.

In celebration of World Animal Day, which aims to highlight the importance of animals around the world, UVL members ZSL London Zoo and London Wetland Centre are offering special deals on any event booked during the entire week!

The offers, which must be booked between Monday 4 October and Friday 8 October to qualify, include:

• ZSL London Zoo: 15% off room hire for event organisers as well as a 10% commission for agencies. This includes events within the zoo’s famous animal houses, where delegates can experience close up encounters on the wild side!

• WWT London Wetland Centre: complimentary tea or coffee on arrival, guided tour around the 105 acre reserve, plus 10% commission for agencies for all functions. Delegates are able to host meetings overlooking the venue's mosaic of lakes, pools and lagoons that are home to a wide variety of wildlife species

Both venues are actively involved in conservation projects the world over, as well as helping to support the diversity of wildlife in the UK. ZSL London Zoo is currently running 28 conservation programmes in Britain and across the world. The London Wetland Centre is committed to saving wetlands and their wildlife as well as maintaining these essential ecosystems.

Adam Suggett Sales Manager at ZSL London Zoo comments: “World Animal Day is a testament to a cause that is close to all of our hearts here at ZSL. We’re keen to celebrate this cause with our Zoo friends, and so we’re happy to offer a discount that gives private bookers a better opportunity to see our wonderful and unique venue as well as help contribute towards our conservation work”.

Lisa Hatswell, Chairman of UVL and Sales and Corporate Events Manager at The Merlin Entertainments London Eye adds: “By the very nature of our organisation, UVL includes many venues which rely on events and meetings to help support either London’s history and heritage, animal welfare or conservation work. As such, we’re pleased to be associated with World Animal Day and I hope organisers are keen to get on board with us!”.
