Iceland choose Liverpool for managers' conference

Frozen food supermarket chain Iceland has confirmed that it is to host its annual managers' conference in the city of Liverpool.

Coming as the firm enjoys ongoing success as struggling consumers turn to low-cost retailers so as to cut back on their grocery bills, it has been announced that some 900 delegates will head to the city in October.

The BT Convention Centre, part of the burgeoning Liverpool ECHO Arena complex on Kings Dock, will play host to the frozen food professionals, with this representing another major deal for one of the north-west's newest venues.

"We are delighted that Iceland has chosen the BT Convention Centre for its conference this year," the venue's general manager Jacquie Rogers told the Liverpool Echo.

"This is an extremely prestigious business win for us which helps to position the venue as one of the very best convention centres in the UK."

James Watt, events manager at the retail chain, added: "We selected the BT Convention Centre as our venue because the facilities are second to none and the location on the banks of the River Mersey is outstanding."ADNFCR-1752-ID-18751095-ADNFCR
