The Britain for Events 2010 campaign continues to gather momentum with the party political conferences underlining the value of conferences and events to the UK business tourism industry.
The Mersey Partnership, ACC Liverpool and Marketing Birmingham have all signed up as partners for the campaign and are each doing their bit to raise awareness of the power of business tourism through the respective visits of high profile political conferences.
Malmaison / Hotel du Vin has also confirmed activity in each of its 27 hotels as part of their support for the campaign. A special Britain for Events delegate menu has been developed in each hotel that draws inspiration from locally sourced food. With Malmaison / Hotel du Vin represented across the host destinations for the political conferences the group is underlining its own dominance in the meetings industry.
Other destinations are also keen to underline their own meetings and events products, both Southport Conferences and Experience Nottinghamshire are supporting the campaign this year and represent the high quality of meetings destinations found across the UK.
Added to this has been the high profile confirmation of the Premier League in supporting this year’s campaign. Chelsea FC, the current league champions are once again leading the charge on behalf of the league with a special agency offer on meetings booked during the month of October. Other clubs involved include Wigan Athletic, West Ham, Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
