Leading Broadcast Journalist Sophie Raworth to Host High Profile Digital TV Event at London's Congress Centre

On 2nd March 2012, as UK digital TV switchover fast approaches, the Digital TV Group (DTG), the industry association for digital television in the UK, is holding its annual summit at central London conference & events venue, Congress Centre. Hosted by leading broadcast journalist Sophie Raworth and entitled Digital Television: Now and Next, the summit will focus on the global development of the delivery of content via the Internet, the emergence of hybrid devices and the challenges of a post-switchover environment - including the benefits and impact of LTE and White Space technology.

270 global industry leaders are expected to attend the high profile event which will take place in hi-tech Congress Hall, the largest space at Congress Centre, which benefits from a large contemporary stage set and natural daylight courtesy of a striking original 1950s space-frame ceiling. They will discuss what the UK can learn from the latest international innovations in the delivery of content, services and applications through the Internet and ask how the UK can combine these with our world-leading broadcast technologies to create a truly brilliant hybrid TV experience.

According to Matt Walker, organiser of the event at the DTG, “With high quality AV facilities, one of the largest screens in the city, and tailored delegate packages at reasonable rates, the Congress Centre is an obvious choice for large-scale corporate conferences in central London. We are delighted to be returning to the venue again this year.”
