Liverpool venues praised for successful Develop conference

Liverpool's Arena and Conference Centre (ACC) has been praised for staging a successful gaming event and looks set to host the exhibition again in the future.

The first ever Develop in Liverpool conference was held on November 5th and was attended by over 160 delegates from the gaming community in the north-west, Scotland, the north-east, Wales and the south-east.

Andy Lane, managing director at Tandem Events, which organises the Develop conferences, said that Liverpool venues would most likely host an annual event from now on.

"We're delighted that Develop in Liverpool was supported by the major players and we look forward to making it a regular date in the developer's calendar," he commented.

Representatives from companies such as Codemasters, Eidos, Nintendo, Sega, Universal Music, Dolby and Firebrand Games attended the event, which was an addition to the Develop conference in Brighton.

The BT Convention Centre, part of ACC Liverpool, recently joined the Hotel Booking Agents Association, as part of efforts to promote the venue to delegates.
