London Canal Museum has become the first London museum to be accredited in the Green Tourism for London scheme, a part of the green Tourism Business Scheme which offers a nationwide benchmark for eco-friendliness in tourism. Awarded Bronze status, the museum was scrutinised on a wide range of measures covering all aspects of its environmental practice. Chairman Martin Sach said "we are delighted at this award, recognising the work we have done to make the museum more environmentally-friendly" The museum offers a variety of conference and evening function facilities in its building near King's Cross station in central London.
