London venues team up for marketing campaign

Oct 04, 2010 | News

A collection of venues across London, including the OXO Tower, the London Eye and London Aquarium, have joined together to promote South Bank as a destination for businesses.

According to Marketing Week, the London venues will showcase the area's "unrivalled transport links, breathtaking views and its indefinable relaxed ambiance".

Other venues which make up South Bank Venues include BFI IMAX, BFI Southbank, Florence Nightingale Museum, Imperial War Museum London, National Theatre, London Duck Tours, The Old Vic Theatre, Park Plaza Riverside and Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.

Elizabeth Parbutt, marketing director of South Bank Employers' Group, which will run the group, told the publication that the area has been successfully promoted as a leisure destination for the past 12 years.

She added that the group planned to apply the same partnership model to the business tourism market.

The news comes just days after Merlin Entertainment announced that an ice rink will be added to the London Eye this year. ADNFCR-1752-ID-800097142-ADNFCR
