Malmaison Leeds Scoops Chairman's Accolade at Industry Awards

Over 150 attendees witnessed Malmaison, Leeds scoop the Chairman's Award as the Best Overall Venue in the inaugural Conference and Hospitality Show Awards at The Queens Hotel on Thursday 30 April.

The sold out event also saw Malmaison awarded winners trophy for the Best Funky Bedroom, whilst The Alton Towers Resort took the trophies for both the Best Reception and Best Unusual Event Space.

Judged by over 40 agents, other venues celebrating success on the night included; Horizon Leeds, Oulton Hall Hotel & Spa, The Camp Hill Estate, Emirates Old Trafford, The Mansion Leeds, Cromlix Hotel & Chez Roux, Coombe Abbey Hotel, Hyatt Regency Birmingham and Careys Manor Hotel & SenSpa.

Global Entertainment Associates sponsored the event and provided a spectacular mixture of swing, classical and pop/rock acts for the evening entertainment. Other sponsors included Trident, LED Factory, Hospitality & Events North, AV and C Meet In Ireland and Visit Scotland.

The awards were designed to work alongside the already well established Conference and Hospitality Show which takes place in Leeds each spring and is organised by the CHS Group. The awards were met with great enthusiasm, attracting over 100 entries in this, the first year.
