New Hampton by Hilton venues open across UK

Hampton Hotels, part of the Hilton brand, has opened three new properties in Birmingham, Braintree and Shrewsbury.

The converted venues, owned by Osborn Securities and managed by Hilton Worldwide, have created more than 500 additional rooms as part of the company's economy offering.

"These three new Hampton by Hiltons are a welcome addition to our UK portfolio and demonstrate the momentum behind the brand," said John Rogers, vice president of operations at Hilton Worldwide.

The venues have been designed to appeal to both business and leisure travellers, with key offerings including free high-speed internet access.

Less than a year after the first hotel under the brand opened in Corby, there are now five Hampton by Hiltons in the UK. It marks a continued expansion in the economy sector for the hotel group.

Some of the UK's best-known Hilton hotels are currently undergoing a £20 million refurbishment programme as the company launches its new brand The Space, an lounge concept which will be used for events.
