New Peterborough venue opens its doors

A new Peterborough venue has opened, offering town-centre accommodation to both casual tourists and business parties.

The Park Inn is situated on Wentworth Street and offers 115 guest rooms. Owing to its centralised position, the hotel offers easy access to local shopping, restaurants and culture, with the cathedral and Queens Gate Shopping Centre all within walking distance. The railway station is also close by, with 45-minutes transfer to London. In addition to the guest accommodation, the hotel has three meeting rooms in a bid to appeal to corporate guests.

James Berry, the hotel general manager, said: "The facilities are second-to-none in the city and we look forward to welcoming guests from both the local area and further afield and giving them the Park Inn experience."

The largest meeting room seats 48 people and all offer climate control and plentiful natural daylight to facilitate comfortable business meetings.

In other news, peterboroughtoday.co.uk reports that a plaque has been fitted in the city centre to commemorate the presentation of the historic Whateley Paviour Clock to the council.
