Peterborough hotel will be "great venue for conferences"

The forthcoming Park Inn Hotel in Peterborough will be one of the most eye-catching landmarks in the city, as well as a world-class corporate conference centre, its owners have promised.

Work on the regeneration of the former British Telecom building in the heart of the city centre is on track to be completed in time for Christmas, with new owners, the Rezidor Hotel Group, having already spent several million pounds bringing the venue into the 21st century.

In addition to a contemporary bar and guest facilities, as well as an illuminated name sign on the roof which will be able to be seen from most parts of the city, a spokesman for the chain has confirmed that no effort is to be spared to transform the hotel into one of the region's most attractive conferencing locations.

"There will be three conference and meeting rooms available, each being able to hold up to 30 people," he said.

"This will mean the hotel will be a great venue for business conferences."

Though a relatively small city, conference organisers are able to benefit from Peterborough's proximity to the rich talent pool of Cambridge as well as the national and international transport links offered by Stansted Airport. ADNFCR-1752-ID-18690190-ADNFCR
