Serpentine Gallery and Museum of London Docklands join UVL portfolio

London venue consortium, Unique Venues of London (UVL), has welcomed two new members, the Serpentine Gallery (pictured) and The Museum of London Docklands.

The two Central London event venues bring the total membership to 81 in the consortium.

Located within Kensington Gardens, the Grade II listed Neo-Classical Serpentine Gallery comprises four large rooms, including a high-domed space in the central gallery. Renowned for its art, the Serpentine Gallery hosts a Summer Pavilion from June to October showcasing temporary structures by architects and designers. Hiring the Gallery gives exclusive access to all four rooms, which can be set up around exhibitions in a number of formats.

The Museum of London Docklands’ galleries tell the story of the dramatic changes that have affected the area, from life on the river to the world’s largest docks complex in the 19th century. Six event areas have been built around original pine columns and floors. There are also 11 galleries for evening events, including drinks receptions for up to 800 delegates.

“These new members each bring their own charm and distinctiveness to the UVL family, and further enhance our reach across London,” says Moya Maxwell, Head of Commercial Programming at the Royal Opera House and Chairman of UVL.
