Sodexo Prestige Appoints New Director of Sales for the Open Championship

Sodexo Prestige, the specialist food division of Sodexo and the UK's leading provider of corporate hospitality packages and event catering, has appointed Brett Tonkyn as Director of Sales for The Open Championship Official Hospitality.

Tonkyn will be responsible for managing the hospitality sales and marketing programme at The Open Championship in a joint venture between Sodexo Prestige and the R&A, helping to drive new business and build on what is already a very successful and popular sporting event.

Brett brings a vast amount of sales experience to the team having worked in sales at IMG for over 6 years. His role at IMG included the sales of 10 year seats and boxes at the new Wembley Stadium, Sales Manager for the hospitality programme for Euro 2008 and for the past two years working in sponsorship sales for IMG Golf.

Brett commented "Golf is a real passion of mine and I am looking forward to working closely with the R&A and building on the hospitality side of the business to encourage more guests to come and enjoy one of the world’s greatest annual sporting events.
