Stadium of Light launch new seasonal menus and special offers

The Stadium of Light, home of Sunderland AFC and one of the North East’s leading event venues, is shining a light on summer events, with new seasonal menus and a host of special offers. 

The Stadium, which offers some of the finest event facilities anywhere in the country and can cater for up to 1000 delegates in its range of versatile suites, has unveiled tailored food offerings for events taking place in June, July and August.

The menus, specially designed by the award-winning chefs at 1879 Events Management, include afternoon tea, BBQs, breakfasts and bowl food, with options to suit all tastes and budgets.   

To celebrate their launch, the Stadium of Light is also offering a number of added incentives for those booking larger functions to be held during the summer months. They include; the choice of a free table for four with hospitality at an SAFC home game, a table for four at any of the events listed in the company’s current What’s On Guide, such as family fun days and sporting dinners, or eight complimentary matchday tickets.  

Gary Hutchinson, Commercial Director for SAFC and 1879 Events Management, commented: “Thanks to a unique combination of concerts, graduations and all manner of corporate events, summer 2014 was extremely busy at the Stadium of Light.  

“This year we’re enhancing our seasonal offering even further, by introducing a new range of menus, as well as a selection of special offers, which are redeemable against events costing £5000 or more.  

“We hope that this will appeal to both new and existing clients and look forward to hosting all of them this summer.”  

The Stadium of Light, just off the A19 in Tyne and Wear, boasts more than a dozen function rooms and suites, which can be booked individually or combined for product launches, conferences, team building and other, large scale events.   

Organisers utilising any of these versatile rooms during the summer can choose one of the new, seasonal menus or opt to work with the chefs from 1879 Events Management to create something more bespoke.   

Preferential rates will be available for returning customers, with added incentives, including those outlined above, offered for larger events, where expenditure reaches £5000 or more.
