The Lensbury is awarded AIM Gold Standard

The four-star Lensbury Hotel in Teddington, Middlesex is the latest venue to have been awarded the AIM Gold Award by the Meeting Industry Association (MIA).

The Gold Award is the highest nationally recognised accreditation for meeting venues and is held by 27 venues in the UK. It is given in recognition of first class facilities, the highest levels of customer service and exceptional catering.

To achieve the Gold Award, a venue must complete a 10-section self assessment, put together a portfolio of evidence in support of its application and be visited by an independent assessor.

Jane Longhurst, Chief Executive of MIA, said: “When a venue displays the AIM Gold insignia, bookers and planners are assured it will deliver the highest level of quality facilities, high-spec technology and equipment, with exceptional catering and superior customer service.”

Maugie Lyons, Sales and Marketing Director at The Lensbury, added: “It is very rewarding for The Lensbury to be officially recognised for our dedication and continued investment in the product. Melissa Gillings, Operations Manager and her team have every reason to be proud of this award.

“We are sure the AIM Gold will give us the edge with meeting bookers and we look forward to receiving increased bookings as a result.”

The Lensbury, set in 25 acres on the banks of the River Thames, offers 31 meeting rooms which cater for between two and 250 people.
