The new Olympic Lodge, Stoke Mandeville Stadium to host ‘Buckinghamshire Business, Celebrating 2012’

Following a substantial investment The Olympic Lodge at Stoke Mandeville Stadium is delighted to host ‘Buckinghamshire Business, Celebrating 2012 at 6.00pm on Tuesday 13th March.

Stoke Mandeville Stadium in partnership with Buckinghamshire Business First and WheelPower, the national charity for wheelchair sport will bring together local businesses and look at how the Olympic and Paralympic Games will benefit the local business community as well as showcasing the fantastic facilities at the Olympic Lodge.

Martin Tett, leader of Buckinghamshire County Council, will be a guest speaker, and Buckinghamshire Ambassadors, key businesses and Olympic contract holders will also be attending.

Alex Pratt, Chairman of Buckinghamshire Business First (sponsors of the event), said: “As the collective business voice looking after the interests of every business in Buckinghamshire, BBF celebrates the re-launch and refurbishment of the Olympic Lodge in time for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympics. Not only is Buckinghamshire the birthplace of the Paralympics but also over 50 significant contracts have been won by businesses in the County to support the Games, and many international teams have chosen us as a place to train. The Paralympic movement is just another example of the Entrepreneurial Heart of Britain in action.”

The improvement offer better comfort and access not only to athletes, but also to our local community.”

Stoke Mandeville Stadium boasts some of the best sports facilities in the UK and one of the most popular gyms in Aylesbury and offers free use of the on-site gym, sporting facilities and swimming pool to all facilities. The stadium will host the London 2012 Paralympic Torch Relay.
