Visitor rise for Confex

Initial figures show that International Confex saw a rise in visitor attendance. “It’s still early days but everything indicates that Confex 2006 was a success,” says event director, Duncan Reid. “Preliminary on-site figures indicate that visitor attendance is slightly higher than in 2005. Onsite re-bookings were up by a massive 37 per cent which implies that exhibitors are keen to return for 2007. While initial exhibitor feedback indicates that they were happy with both the quality and quantity of the visitor audience.” One exhibitor was Stephen Norcliffe, commercial director of the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. “International Confex is a great platform for us to showcase our latest technology and developments to visitors, as well as share our latest range of culinary delights developed by our in-house caterers Leith’s,” he says. “The latest show was a great success and exceeded our expectations with lots of genuine enquiries and new business leads to follow up over the next month.”
