Venues website updates & future plans

Many of you may have noticed a number of changes to the Venues.org.uk website recently. We have been working hard on adding new features to enhance the venue search capabilities and to better display the spectacular venues listed with us. We have also been working on a new mobile-friendly version of the site, which was completed just two weeks ago.

As part of our refresh of the Venues search results, we have added a grid view, larger venue images and a quick click option to view more details or to contact a venue. At the top of the search results a location or postcode field and a distance option have been included so that you can easily tailor the results to suit your requirements. To see an example of these additions take a look at our conference venues page.

Our new mobile friendly site has an easy to use search function and is completely responsive. You also have the option to fill out a quick form with your requirements and let our admin team do the searching and contacting of suitable event venues for you – a great option for when you are on the go!

Of course, there is always more to do and we will not be stopping there. We have many more plans to refresh the look and feel of the site, including changes to the homepage and the news section, so keep an eye out for all the updates!

In other news, Venues.org.uk will once again be exhibiting at The Meetings Show, which takes place from 7th to 9th July at Olympia, London. The Meetings Show is the must attend event for all those involved in the UK meetings industry, so we hope to see you all there. Our stand number is C51, which is in the UK Hotels and Venues section of Olympia 2, level 1.

The Venues team exhibited at the show last year and were kept very busy over the three days, so we would like to encourage as many of you as possible to book an appointment with us in advance to see a demo of what Venues can offer. Those of you that book an appointment will be rewarded with an ‘Exclusive Meetings Show Affiliate Offer’, which is not to be missed.
