The City of London Corporation, which is dedicated to promoting the City and providing high quality local services, has launched a dedicated commercial, on-site concierge service.
The highly experienced concierge team and a desk can set up at any venue in London for up to three days at a time. During that time, the advisors can provide information on the move, book fast track tickets and organise tours so that attendees at events and conferences can make the most of their time in London.
The price for the service, including two multi-lingual staff, starts at £620 +VAT, and commission is payable to venues promoting the service to their event organisers.
Nick Bodger, head of cultural and visitor development at the City of London Corporation, explained the idea: “Many delegates who are in London to attend a meeting or conference like to take the chance to see more of what London has to offer and take a tour or fit in a show - but time is short. Our concierge service can book fast track tickets and avoid the queues or organise tours, transport and theatre tickets. But this isn’t just a ticket desk. Our advisers are highly trained and experienced in advising visitors of how best to make the most of their time in London, whatever their interests.”
Oliver Hargreaves, deputy head of sales, business events at the Barbican Centre commented: “This is a great new service that we can offer to organisers. International delegates in particular will find the multi-lingual service invaluable and if delegates make the most of their time in London, they are more likely to come back and recommend us. We will certainly be including this service in our offer to organisers.”
Space requirements for the concierge desk are 4m x 2m with 2.5m height clearance. A 240V power supply and Wi-Fi is required for the full service.
