Church House Conference Centre will once again host the Events Summer School in partnership with Off to Work, a leading supplier of high quality staff, training and consultancy to the hospitality and events industry.
The event, which takes place on 3rd and 4th August, will offer intensive workshops which deliver interactive, inclusive, insightful and industry specific learning facilitated by industry leaders. It is expected to bring together more than 200 professionals from around the country for a series of lectures, classes and edutainment events. Among other things, there will a special evening of networking hosted by HotCat.

Classes included in the 2011 event are:
• The Panel ‘On your marks, get set, GO’: Experts from across the industry answer your questions and share experiences. Key topics include; 2012 are we ready? How will the Olympics affect the future of the event industry? What challenges are businesses across the events industry facing right now? What happens after 2012? The discussion is followed by a guided trip around the Olympic site.
• CIEH Level 2 Healthier food and Special Diets: All employees in catering environments involved in the selection of menus, recipes and ingredients will require this certificate. It is also relevant for those in the health care and education sectors.
• Marketing Skills Day: In a highly competitive industry reputation is one of the only things setting companies apart. The skills day includes a selection of workshops that offer guidance and advice when targeting your audience.
• Accredited courses also include: First Aid at Work, APLH Personal Licence Certificate, and CIEH Level 2 in Food Safety Awareness.
