CCT Venues received a boost to its environmental credentials this month after winning a Clean City Award. Organised by the City of London Corporation, this awards scheme encourages good practice in waste management across the Square Mile.
The City’s Cleansing Services team monitored CCT Venues’ premises before presenting evidence to an independent panel of judges. The company’s achievements were later rewarded at a ceremony and reception held in the Mansion House.
It’s welcome recognition for CCT Venues’ long-standing commitment to reducing waste, reusing materials and recycling. Staff have worked hard to minimise the environmental impact of the company’s three training venues, two of which are located in the City. Initiatives include creating notepads out of unused booklets and ensuring catering food is delivered in reusable packaging.
Being part of the Clean City Awards Scheme allows CCT Venues to further its objectives of building environmental awareness in its venues and working with the community to help improve the local area. Responsible waste management is just one strand in the company’s broad-ranging environmental policy.
