This afternoon De Vere Venues, the UK leader in training, meeting and conference venues, has announced two major contract wins. Both the Ricoh Arena and Tesco training centre Ponsbourne Park will become part of the De Vere Venues portfolio this month.
The Ricoh Arena will rebrand its hotel, conference and event facilities as part of De Vere Venues this month. With the Compass Group continuing to operate the day to day management of the site; the Ricoh sales and management team will now benefit from the £300 million annual pipeline that De Vere Venues brings to the partnership.
Plans for the newest De Vere Venue include a £1 million development project which will see the expansion of the hotel to include additional bedrooms and the launch of a De Vere training suite. The 5,000sq ft training centre will incorporate De Vere Venue’s signature training and meeting space, syndicates and bespoke breakout and coffee points. The Ricoh, which can accommodate up to 5,000 delegates, expects to complete the expansion by the end of the year.
This month will also see Tesco residential training centre, Ponsbourne Park in Hertfordshire, become a De Vere Venue. Surrounded by over 200 acres, the 17th century Ponsbourne Park incorporates dedicated residential meeting and event space, an award winning restaurant and an expansive health and leisure offering incorporating a gymnasium, five all-weather tennis courts and a large outdoor heated swimming pool.
“We are delighted to announce our two latest contract wins. At De Vere Venues we pride ourselves in our ambitious growth strategy and both the Ricoh Arena and Ponsbourne Park are fantastic assets to our diverse portfolio. In a time when other businesses are struggling its great to see our team continuing to grow the De Vere Venues brand,” commented Tony Dangerfield, De Vere Venues CEO.
