Edinburgh's Sheraton Grand to host govt conference

The Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh will host the 4th Justice Sector Skills Conference this month.

Kenny MacAskill, the Scottish government's cabinet secretary for justice, will be a keynote speaker at the event.

It will assemble agencies and organisations from across the legal sector which are engaged in workforce, skills and qualifications development matters.

Organisers say the conference will include interactive workshops and will provide a good networking opportunity for attendees.

Several enterprises will be exhibiting learning and development tools at the event which takes place on February 27th.

Meanwhile, it was announced this week that Glasgow is to host a corporate convention, hospitality and entertainment fair next month.

The Main Event, which attracted 1,000 visitors last year, will be held at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre and will feature presentations from Apex Hotels, En Croute Catering, Go Ape, Historic Scotland, Mariott Hotels and Tents and Events.
