Holiday Inn Jesmond is now home to a new Italian restaurant called Fratello's.
The new 75-cover restaurant at the Newcastle venue, which is located on Jesmond Road, offers a number of Italian favourites including pizza and pasta.
Where possible, locally-sourced ingredients, such as crab, scallops and salmon, are used alongside Italian classics like plum tomatoes and parmesan.
Head of sales and marketing Paul Weild said the focus at Fratello's was to create a menu that "combines classic traditional Italian flavours and recipes with local produce".
He added: "The restaurant itself is light and airy and in a great position for diners to enjoy their meal while watching the world go by."
The hotel has undergone a £3.5 million refurbishment over the last two years, having previously operated as the Imperial Hotel.
Earlier this month, the Holiday Inn announced that a number of its hotels, including Brighton venue Holiday Inn Brighton-Seafront and Leeds venues Holiday Inn Leeds Brighouse and Holiday Inn Leeds Wakefield will now offer budget prom packages.
