Hull to promote City of Culture status at the Conference and Hospitality Show

Hull, the City of Culture 2017, will be exhibiting at the Conference and Hospitality Show (CHS) on Tuesday 4th April in order to promote the city, the multi million pound investment made and to showcase a wide selection of new and refurbished conference and event venues.

Paul Vinsen, chair, HEYHA (Hull & East Yorkshire Hospitality Association) comments: “Hull has been transformed in the last few years and the Conference and Hospitality Show offers us the perfect platform to promote our vibrant city to the events market. We have a regenerated city centre, improved transport and many new and refurbished venues. Becoming City of Culture has put Hull on the map for both consumer and business tourism and we are keen to bring this to the conference market place.”

Helen Symonds, director of sales, DoubleTree by Hilton, Hull comments: “When we open in November, the DoubleTree by Hilton, Hull will be the largest conference venue in Hull and East Yorkshire – with 869 m2 of ground floor, pillar free space that can hold up to 1000 theatre style – which is over double the space previously available in the city. Our dedicated conference entrance, rooftop bar and branded restaurant will appeal to event buyers, so will the fact that we will be the only four star branded hotel in Hull city centre. Leeds is only an hour away, and the Conference and Hospitality Show is the largest business tourism event in the north of England – making it the ideal place to promote our City of Culture status and our new venue. We are looking forward to an amazing show!”

The Hull Pavilion will include the following stand partners:

  • DoubleTree by Hilton, Hull
  • Cave Castle
  • Holiday Inn Hull Marina
  • Tickton Grange Country House Hotel
  • Mercure Grange Park

CHS 2017 will take place on Tuesday 4th April at the first direct arena, Leeds. Doors open at 9.00am
