New resource for event professionals launches today

Bringing together the tools and technologies for live marketing and events professionals, a new website has been launched today.

Events Guru contains a wealth of practical information and guidance on how technologies can be used to manage and optimise the entire event experience – from event planning and management software, to on-site interactive and participation tools, to technologies for monitoring engagement and solutions for creating a technical wow-factor.

The site will also play host to a series of webinars, the first of which takes place on 15 May 2012 at 3pm, with US Tech-expert, Corbin Ball, who will discuss the key technology trends that event organisers will want to follow. This technology overview webinar will be followed by further insightful guides on everything from the impact of technology on selecting a venue to monetising event content effectively.

Aimed at the entire events, meetings and live marketing industries, Events Guru features regular blogs from event experts, including Mike Fletcher and Peter Kerwood, who will bring readers’ observations on the latest cutting edge technologies and how they can effectively be used to leverage event marketing, improve the visitor experience or help monetise event content.

Events Guru was born out of that frustration which I know is shared by many of my colleagues.”

This site is unique, focusing solely on event and live marketing technologies and contains application-based ideas and guidance on the entire gamut of event technologies. Alongside regular blogs and features, a series of ‘Buyers Guides’ will help event organisers understand what they need to know before making a purchasing decision across a range of technologies, from mobile apps to registration providers.
