Business events managers are being invited to the north-east of England to learn about the corporate conferencing facilities in the region.
Organised by visitTeesvalley, the one-day Conference Venues Showcase will itself be held in one of the top destinations in the city of Middlesbrough, the city's Riverside Stadium next Thursday.
According to the organisers, this year's event is set to eclipse the success of last year's, which saw hundreds of delegates and conferencing professionals meet to share ideas and network.
Notably, a post-event questionnaire revealed that more than 50 visitors felt that they took with them new ideas for organising corporate events, including how to better motivate staff and provide entertainment for clients and delegates.
Furthermore, to highlight the excellent transport links boasted by the Tees Valley region, visitors to the Venues Showcase can take a specially-chartered powerboat from the centre of the city to the stadium.
Completed in 1994, Middlesbrough Football Club's home ground cost £16 million to construct and boasts a seating capacity of 35,100, in addition to a number of conferencing suites.
