Record-breaking Woodland Grange honoured by region

Leamington Spa’s Woodland Grange Conference Centre has clinched a coveted Godiva Award as the top conference venue in the Coventry and Warwickshire region, marking a year in which business has soared to unprecedented levels.

The awards, now in their fourth year, are organised by CVOne, the body responsible for promoting business and tourism across the region. Woodland Grange took the gold award for Best "Conference Venue":http://www.venues.org.uk/searches/conference_venues.asp, with the silver taken by Warwick Conferences and the bronze by Woodside, in Kenilworth. The awards are judged by an independent panel advised by industry experts.

The honour justifies the £5 million investment put into Woodland Grange, which came on stream in mid 2006.

“Perhaps the most rewarding aspect of all is that the award shows we have sustained, and indeed enhanced, our levels of customer service over a unique and very demanding period,” commented Woodland Grange’s director of operations David Vaughton. “In terms of recognition, there are now more internationally competitive conference providers in the region then ever, and to have come out top is probably one of our greatest achievements.”

The venue will achieve record levels of conference business in 2007, and is likely to show a year-on-year increase in revenue of more than 50 per cent.

Woodland Grange is one of only 33 members of the UK chapter of the International Association of Conference Centres (IACC), and one of only 35 members of the exclusive group of conference providers, Conference Centres of Excellence.
