The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) has taken a top prize in recognition for its work at the forefront of the international events industry.
Ben Goedegebuure, director of sales at the SECC, told heraldscotland.com that the accolade reflected the benefit the venue has both for Glasgow and Scotland as a whole
"These awards are further testament to the SECC's ability to host and deliver truly world-class events and to the fact that we now compete on a global stage for both national and international business," he told the news provider.
Tennent's Lager and DF Concerts won the award for best public relations strategy for the T in the Park festival, while QD Events won best business exhibition for its Main Event conference and best leisure exhibition for the Scottish Wedding Show.
Last month, the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) became the first events venue in Scotland to be recognised for its healthy catering with a government-backed award.
