Tarsus revenues rise 17 per cent in first six month

Business-to-business media group Tarsus has announced that its total revenue rose by 17 per cent to £16.9 million for the first six months of 2010.

The company, which specialises in exhibitions, conferences, publishing and online media and operates Venues.org.uk, said that its adjusted profit before tax were up 22 per cent to £1.1 million for the six months to June 30th.

Chairman Neville Buch said the group was focusing on driving and developing the business and was "pleased to have grown revenues organically by seven per cent in this seasonally quieter period".

"The focus on organic growth continues into the second half as the sectors we serve gradually return to growth," he added.
He also said visitor numbers attending the organisation's events, which include the Dubai Airshow and The Maternity and Baby Care Expo, continue to improve.

Earlier this year, Labelexpo Europe, which is organised by the group, won the marketing campaign of the year award at the Association of Event Organisers Excellence Awards ceremony in London.  ADNFCR-1752-ID-800008241-ADNFCR
