Planning permission has been granted for a new conference venue in London, after Battersea Power Station was given approval.
An application was put in by events company 1st Option, which has seen success, meaning 1,200 sq m will be created for conferences and events in the capital, Event magazine reported.
Plans for the site state it will create enough conference venue space for 1,000 people, or 500 if seated.
The Boiler Room will have a clear roof section, which will allow visitors to view the chimneys of the former power station.
Elias Devries and Tarek Gjonnes, co-directors of 1st Option, told the magazine that there are already events lined up for the London conference venue.
They added that it will be "one of the most exciting venues London has seen in years".
Currently, 1st Option are marketing the venue for product launches, award ceremonies, private functions, charity balls or film screenings, saying it also has up to 100 parking spaces for convenience.
