The organiser of events industry tradeshow, Square Meal Venues & Events Live, has reported a 25 per cent increase, year-on-year, in pre-registrations for its September exhibition.
The show will hold its ninth edition at Old Billingsgate on 18-19 September. It is aimed at event buyers, corporate event bookers and personal assistants who book corporate events.
Rachel Harty, Venues & Events Live’s head of marketing, commented: “This is another positive sign that the economy is improving and people are beginning to see the value of events again.
“In addition, with Venues & Events Live having a host of exciting new exhibitors this year and some brand new features, more event organisers are recognising that this is the perfect opportunity to kick start their event planning for the next twelve months.”
New features at the 2013 show include: The Ideas Hub, a centrally-located spot for visitors to pick up ideas for their event. A packed programme of bit-size seminars on everything from new restaurant and venue openings to social media and Christmas party planning. The show also welcomes a number of first time exhibitors such as the luxury baker Ladurée, The Making of Harry Potter, Ice Tank Studios, The FA Group, Historic Royal Palaces and Vinopolis.
This year, the show will extend its first day hours in response to calls from the industry, said the organiser.
