Arena Racing Company (ARC) has partnered with KDM Events to offer SolarBuddy: The Hour of Power, a CSR-focused team-building activity, across its UK venue portfolio.
In the session, teams assemble solar-powered lights for children in energy poverty communities, including Cambodia, Tanzania and Papua New Guinea, after a short introduction to the issue of energy access. According to SolarBuddy, an estimated 770 million people still lack access to safe, reliable lighting, and each light distributed can benefit up to five people over its lifespan, supporting study after dark, reduced reliance on kerosene and household savings.
Participants write messages to accompany the lights they build. The activity is delivered exclusively through KDM Events and is now available across Arena's venues nationally.
Danielle Matthews-Brown, Group Event Sales Manager at ARC, said: "SolarBuddy gives teams a shared focus while creating tangible impact, which aligns strongly with how organisations are now approaching meetings and events."
The companies describe the move as part of a wider rise in demand for ESG-aligned content within conferences and incentive events.
