One of the largest venues in London is to host the G20 summit in April.
ExCeL London has been named as the venue for the upcoming meeting, which will see people from across the globe attend.
The exhibition centre was picked from a number of potential venues and cities to get the summit, with world-class facilities being a factor in the decision.
David Peglar, managing director of ExCeL London, says: "The selection of ExCeL as the venue for the London Summit is testament to our international standing as a premier meeting and events destination."
He adds that the selection gives further impetus to the plans to expand the venue in a £160 million investment.
The exhibition centre will be reopened in spring 2010, offering a 5,000-seat auditorium, 17 meeting rooms and a 3,000-seat banqueting hall.
Mr Peglar says the expansion will cement the view of venues in London as being world class and attracting high-calibre events.
ExCeL has hosted over 2,000 events since it opened in 2000, hosting eight out of ten of London''''s trade shows.
