Venue consortium, Unique Venues of London (UVL) has announced a record number of enquiries taken at this year’s International Confex.
The enquiries, which include all 73 member venues and the unique offering they are renowned for, comprise of a diverse range of events. The majority focused on conferences, awards ceremonies and gala dinners each looking for venues able to host large numbers in a unique setting.
With UVL able to offer added value in the form of backstage tours, interesting experiences and speakers, leads were also taken during the show for product launches, drinks receptions and Christmas parties. As well as a selection of more unusual event requests such as garden parties, charity walks and team building days. With the Olympic Games on the horizon, interest was also shown in UVL venues from Olympic houses and those hosting events during the Games period.
Lisa Hatswell, Chairman of UVL and Sales and Corporate Events Manager at EDF Energy London Eye, comments: “As one of the largest exhibitions in the events industry, International Confex is an important opportunity for UVL and its members. We are delighted with the quality of event buyers evidenced at the show and our record number of leads. The diversity of these enquiries illustrates the range of event types, set ups and expertise on offer through UVL venues”.
Found on stand LA200, UVL also showcased its five new members at the exhibition along with its vast portfolio, including Hampton Court Palace, The Natural History Museum, London Dungeon, Roundhouse and Tower Bridge.
