MPI UK&I Chapter have agreed an innovative new partnership with International Confex that will place the Convention Industry Council’s (CIC) professional certification, Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), at the centre of an educational and marketing campaign preceding and during the show. It will be a joint marketing campaign that will enhance the engagement in the certification, raising awareness of its many competitive benefits. The BootCamp Live experience promises to give planners a chance to test themselves against ten key knowledge domains in the live environment on site at International Confex.

Prestigious London venue Middle Temple will host a Wedding Open Day on Sunday 17th January 2016 from 10.00am - 4.00pm. Licenced to hold weddings and civil partnership ceremonies the venue is ideal for intimate gatherings to large ceremonies for up 100 guests and wedding breakfasts for up to 300 guests. Couples can choose from a total of four stunning spaces for both ceremonies and receptions.

Organisers of International Confex are promising to light up the events industry next spring with the launch of UK Events Week, a week-long celebration and spotlight on the entirety of the UK Events Industry taking place from 29th Feb to 4th March. The week will include International Confex and Event Production Show and comes fittingly at the culmination of Britain for Events, the hugely influential self-promotional campaign for the events industry.

The Cotton Club will be opening its doors as the Award Winning Corinthian Club is playing its cards right as it gears up to launch a brand new, state of the art casino experience this Friday, 20th of November 2015. It will be open to the public for the first time this weekend and will offer a 1920’s style boutique casino and cocktail lounge. It is set to change the Glasgow casino experience, offering vintage-style gaming, drinking and dining in a two-tier, subterranean speakeasy setting.

Beaumont Estate in Old Windsor has seen a 20% a rise (over the last two years) in bookings for large scale corporate kick off events, with approximately 38% of enquiries being taken by the events team relating to kick off events which require exclusive use of the venue. Much more than incentive and teambuilding away days, kick off events are often large, unique and creative events with the sole purpose of delivering the company focus.

Middle Temple has bolstered its events team with the appointment of Anne Atkinson as head of events and catering. The newly created position follows continual growth of both corporate and private events at the London venue, most recently a significant 21% rise in summer event bookings. Middle Temple has hosted a range of events for clients including Wedgwood Britain, fashion brand Pringle, global law firm Linklaters and children’s charity NSPCC.

Yarnfield Park, one of the UK’s largest residential training and conference centres, has confirmed that its £2.75m programme of investment is now underway. The venue which has seen significant growth in its training and conference business over the last 4 years is upgrading all areas of its business, from the bar and restaurant through to its accommodation and event space.

The Lord Mayor of Liverpool has met with the CEO of Millennium Hotels & Resorts following the global brand’s acquisition of Hard Days Night Hotel. During the meeting, CEO Aloysius Lee discussed his future plans for the iconic hotel with Cllr Tony Concepcion, and talked about his excitement for the North John Street property.
