After a long, well planned and extremely enjoyable journey to becoming the most sustainable Conference Company in London we, at Cavendish Conference Venues, have finally achieved one of our goals by receiving the top position in London as the Gold Award Achiever at the Visit London Awards 2009, held on the 5th November at Westfield.
With an amazing wealth of competition such as ExCel and the Cavendish Hotel, to achieve Gold has been a long but fantastic and interesting road to becoming the best in our field of Sustainability and we will not rest there, we want more organisations to follow our lead and will help do whatever possible for others to pursue a similar path!
Here’s how we did it
• London ‘s only Zero to landfill venue. (We recycle everything from light bulbs to Cornish pastys!)
• Relentless focus on quantifiable reduction in all non-sustainable inputs be it travel, electricity water etc.
• Continuous quantified process of identifying and working with ever more local suppliers
• Full traceability of all major menu items.
Cavendish Conference Venues are a well established Conference organistaion with five Centres’, four in the West and one in the City of London. To achieve such an accolade has been a mission for us in order to pursue a direction that will set Cavendish Conference Venues apart from other dedicated Conference Centre’s and one that we will continue to endorse for many years to come.
