London's Congress Centre Undergoes Comprehensive Upgrade & Introduces Free Wi-Fi For Delegates
17-room hi-tech conference and events venue, Congress Centre, has recently completed a comprehensive overhaul of its audio visual equipment, wireless internet provision and kitchen facilities. The venue, which is located in the heart of London’s West End, has installed a new high definition 3D 20,000 lumens Panasonic projector in its largest space, Congress Hall, identical to the projector used in the main stadium at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This is accompanied by two new 85-inch plasma screens of a similar high specification. Organisers can now make use of this equipment, along with a state-of-the-art digital sound desk and the option of 18ft/12ft x 10ft projector screens at no extra charge when booking a room hire or day delegate package at the venue.Congress Centre’s wireless internet provision has also just been upgraded. Working with BT, 32 high specification access points have been installed throughout the venue, controlled via a cloud system and supported by a 100-meg fibre optic line. And, as of 1st March 2013, standard Wi-Fi connectivity for checking emails or Twitter will be free for all organisers and their delegates. To assist organisers who are running events of a more complex nature, 13 new Sennheiser G3 radio microphones have been installed throughout the building to provide greater flexibility, whilst behind the scenes the in-house catering team has benefited from a range of new equipment, including a pot washing machine, six-burner gas hobs, brat pans, refrigeration and a large rational oven that cleans itself at the end of each day.According to Centre Director, Robert Girvan, “We pride ourselves on being one of the best value purpose-designed conference and events facilities in central London and the new equipment, along with great food and service, will enable us to continue to deliver a top quality experience to our many clients.”
