Yorkshire brewery to boast conferencing facilities

One of the country's brightest new breweries has announced it is to invest £4 million in the construction of a new headquarters, which would include new state-of-the-art events and conferencing facilities.

Under the plans released by Yorkshire's Copper Dragon, its existing brewing facilities in the town of Skipton are to be complemented by a massive new 22,000 visitor centre.

This is to include an exhibition explaining the beer brewing techniques in operation at the site, as well as a bistro and offices, though arguably the most exciting new development will be the corporate facilities, which will allow conference organisers to host their events in a unique and dynamic setting.

According to local building firm Sutcliffe Construction, which has been chosen to carry out the work, the "facility will transform brewing in Skipton".

Speaking to the Publican, Copper Dragon managing director Steve Taylor added: "We pride ourselves on our local roots and it's great to be working with a local firm such as Sutcliffe Construction in building a bright new future for Copper Dragon."

Situated in North Yorkshire, the new venue will benefit from excellent transport links to the nearby cities of Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle. ADNFCR-1752-ID-18730261-ADNFCR
